How can I fix my sleeping pattern?

For the past 2 weeks I've been falling asleep at around �am, no matter how early I go to bed. Then I just wake up between 6 and half 6, lye there for a while until I eventually fall back asleep and wake up at 10 every day. In the end I only get about 8 hours sleep, and as I'm on my holidays now I want to get back to a good sleeping pattern. I head staying awake for a full night works in fixing your sleeping pattern?
